Authentic Texas Cover Story

Authentic Texas is one of the premier magazines for Texas stories, and when they heard about our film, they reached out to learn more. They wanted to hear how the project came together, what inspired it, and what it was like working so closely with the Tonkawa Tribe.
 
We were honored to be chosen as their 10th Anniversary Cover Story.

The young woman on the cover is Kaedyn Warrior, one of three remarkable Tonkawa princesses you will meet in the film. In this photograph, she stands atop the Tonkawa's sacred Naton Samox ("Red Mountain"), located about an hour northeast of Austin and thirty minutes northwest of Bryan-College Station.

Kaedyn also made history as the first Tonkawa Princess ever photographed on this sacred site, making the image even more meaningful for both the tribe and our film.
